Jordan Pickrel was born in 1996 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He is currently a BFA candidate at the University of Oregon working in ceramics, as well as completing a BA in English. His work centers frequently on connection — between individuals, social structures, government regulations, academic disciplines, and beyond — through which he sees many things as inherently linked to one another.

Pickrel has exhibited solo shows at the Washburn Gallery on the University of Oregon campus, including The Body is a Conduit and Circling, as well as participated in groups shows in the LaVerne Krause Gallery. He currently lives and works in Eugene, Oregon.
